Dear Potential Sponsor,
We invite your company to participate in the fourth annual Northern California Soy and Tofu Festival, an exciting culinary and cultural event to be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in San Francisco Japantown’s Peace Plaza, Post at Buchanan streets, and the Buchanan Mall (a new addition last year).
This unique marketing and networking combination provides an excellent opportunity to promote your business to both targeted and Bay Area-wide audiences, while supporting an organization that keeps the voice of Japanese and Asian American communities strong.
Now in its fourth year, the Festival has grown progressively since its inception with 3,500 attendees in 2011. In 2012, some 7,000 attended, and in 2014, we expect more than 15,000 people to attend. Visible support with your logo will reach not only the Nichi Bei Weekly’s readers, but also the audiences of our current media partners NBC Bay Area’s 5 million viewers and KTSF Channel 26’s 2.75 million Bay Area households through 100 commercial spots in English, Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese and Korean. Other media sponsors running advertisements with sponsor logos include Korea Times, Philippine News, and Sports J (Japanese).
This Festival showcases soy and tofu vendors, provides an educational forum on the various uses and benefits of soy and tofu, offers live entertainment, interactive games and culminates with the Soy and Tofu Dessert Competition. The event offers a unique opportunity for your company to outreach to larger, more diverse communities as well as to support a vibrant press for the Japanese and Asian American community and provide important educational programming.
Proceeds from sponsorships help the Nichi Bei Foundation, a fiscally-sponsored project of Independent Arts and Media, continue to keep the community connected, informed and empowered through the publication of the Nichi Bei Weekly — the first nonprofit ethnic community newspaper of its kind in the country. The Nichi Bei Foundation also presents an annual Films of Remembrance event screening films related to the Japanese American experience, as well as an Author Series, the only annual Japanese Culture Guide in the country and a Community Resource Guide.
Please consider the sponsorship opportunities of this unique festival. Sponsorship benefits and event details can be found in the enclosed packet. You can check out a previous festival in a video and print wrap-up on our homepage.
Once sponsorship is in place, immediate promotion begins through
our Website, advertisements and posters leading up to springtime on-air
television. For biggest impact, act quickly!
Further, sponsors will be special guests at our VIP Reception on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Berkeley Bowl West featuring the dessert competition semi-finals, entertainment and a culinary demonstration. Here, sponsors will be able to help select the three finalists to compete at the June 7, 2014 Festival.
For more information, please feel free to contact firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to partnering with you on this exciting opportunity and we thank you for your time and consideration.
