Happy new year to all soy and tofu fans. あけましておめでとうございます㊗️We wish you a healthy and safe start of the year. Did you know that soy sauce can also be used for desserts? Mitarashi dango, a traditional Japanese sweet sauce, uses a mildly sweet sauce on sweet rice balls 🍡 "dango". Have you heard of "Okara"? It's soy milk pulp, a byproduct from soy milk and tofu making. It's rich in fiber and proteins at 1/3 or less of the cost. Try it in different things! We tried to make okara tofu baked donuts and it was delicious! (Cinnamon sugar on the left, matcha on the right) Soft serve with caramel soy sauce. Creative way to add some savory notes to a delicious dessert 🍨 Thank you everyone for making our 2019 Soy and Tofu Festival a success! Especially all our dedicated committee members and volunteers.
